Wednesday Wish (3)

To find that silent flower in your life, the one that sits waiting in the back of your mind’s closet, to invite it into the light to be seen, heard, honored. This Wednesday I invite you to blossom your buds into the joy they were always meant to be, into the joy you were always meant to feel.

And then
the day came when
the risk to remain
tight in a bud
was more painful
than the risk it took
to blossom.
--Anais Nin

I love that quote, and so many of Anais Nin's words, and yours too :)

Thanks for the quote (and the visit to my blog and your kind, kind words). The photo of the rose at the top of your blog is absolutely gorgeous and I'm certain I will think of it every time I hear that quote from now on.

thank you, Tracey...you are always so kind.

I am soO glad you popped by Kario. Its a rose from my mother's garden...Abraham Darby is his name. I have never smelled a more fragrant rose. If you can find him, buy him right away or at least get in close enough to feel his velvet petals when you breathe in his lovely scent:) Thanks for the visit, Kario!

Your words match the photo. I am in love with this quote by Anais, such a powerful quote. How many times have we been there ourselves?

Brynne said...

yes...you are so right, Brenda...'how many times have we been there ourselves?' :)

how coincidental, everytime I visit here, I wonder about the pink rose and what its story is. This time was no exception. But you answered it in the comments. Darcy is a most memorable name.

I like this poem. Im forever in search of new hidden flowers I didnt know were there.

dear Sara, I love how you say you are forever in search of new hidden flowers you didn't know were there...what a lovely metaphor for the joy of discovering Self!

And thanks for the smiles about Abraham Darby and the mystery behind his picture....:) I didnt say before but he changes from cream to yellow to peach with pinks, too. And was planted when my grandmother died. There is more but maybe I will write a post about it, save some of his magic for later:)
